Courtney & Jonathan
A day centred around genuine love and heart felt connection.
Location: Waiheke Island, New Zealand

A long lunch wedding set against the breathtaking backdrop of Cowe’s Bay on Waiheke Island — a setting that felt both expansive and intimate.
This day was unforgettable, not least because of the show stopping Oscar de la Renta gown, which echoed the natural beauty of Waiheke’s landscape. Every detail felt considered and deeply personal.

There’s something quietly inspiring about the way Courtney and Jonathan care for and connect with those around them."
Courtney and Jonathan had waited a long time for this day — after multiple attempts, their wedding finally came to life. They made the journey from New York to New Zealand, joined by friends and family who travelled from all corners of the world to be there. The day unfolded as a true reflection of who they are: thoughtful, grounded, and deeply connected to the people around them. Every detail was considered with care; from foraged florals and table decor sourced on the island, to locally grown food and wine that celebrated the land they stood on. Their commitment to sustainability and meaningful connection shaped the atmosphere in every way. This wedding will always stay with me, not just for its beauty, but for the depth of emotion and authenticity shared between Courtney, Jonathan, and their loved ones. I feel incredibly lucky to have documented it.

Though the weather was unpredictable, it only enriched the mood of their day.
The gentle movement of the tidal waters offered a calming view for all the guests.
The backdrop of Waiheke Island and Courtney's dress were a match made for one another.

Courtney and Jonathan’s speeches were among the most memorable I’ve witnessed at a wedding — their words carried such depth and emotion, which can be felt through the imagery.
A ring blessing ceremony took place throughout the speeches.
Spontaneous pool parties into the evening.
A poolside first dance took place as the sun faded into the evening with entertainment by Goldman Sax
